My first collection of poetry, The Strange House Testifies ,was published by Arizona State University/Bilingual Press. My second collection, Beasts Behave in Foreign Land, received the Letras Latinas/ Red Hen Press Award. I am a Dodge Poet and a CantoMundo Fellow. I hold an MFA in poetry from NYU and I work as a high school English teacher in New Jersey.
